"It was just after Christmas, in 2012, when I had 2 young children and was in full on Mummy mode that I was longing to get back out and make music.  I wanted to get back to it and do something that gave me that buzz, was great fun and I loved, but it had to fit with parent-logistics!

So after hunting about I thought the only way to make something happen was to start it myself.  Onto the internet I went to start the search for ladies who loved the 1940s sounds and fashion and were up for a laugh.  The lovely and talented Grace and Pip took a gamble and came to meet me over a drink.  They were fab and hopped aboard this musical ride.  We began meeting for a sing song to see how things would go.  A few months later things had moved on, we had become a group!  Pip quickly had a flash of inspiration and came up with the name ‘The Cat’s Pyjamas’ – meaning a highly sought-after and fancy example of something.  It was inspired, unforgettable and fitted us perfectly.......thank you, Pip!

The years passed and we built up our songs and got involved in a variety of local charity events, weddings, and parties, whilst increasing our wardrobes with a bevvy of beautiful outfits!! Brilliant fun!  Grace and Pip moved on to have their own kitties and we welcomed in the brilliant Charlie, Gillian and Katherine.  They brought with them a ton of talent and all around loveliness and fun.

We have continued learning new tunes, shopping for new fancy outfits and even experimenting with the hair!  We put the audience at the heart of our shows and we love making people move and bringing a smile to their faces.  We keep giggling all the way and creating vibrant vintage tunes!

I want to thank all of the Cat’s Pyjamas ladies for their hard work, talent, wonderfulness, for being great friends and helping to make my dream come true."
